Social Skills Groups

Social Skills are a vital part of successful relationships and interactions for children (and really, adults too). They are necessary to navigate many different environments from school, church, friend’s houses, the front yard, and even at home! This eight week social skills group will begin laying the groundwork for positive social interactions.

Social Skills may be taught are:

  • Introducing self
  • Manners
  • Winning/Losing
  • Personal Space/Boundaries
  • Empathy
  • Communication
  • Taking Turns
  • Cooperation
  • Compromise
  • Sharing

Group members will take a survey of their skills and group topics will be adjusted to meet the needs of the group members, but will likely  include all of the above in some format
