Part Time Therapist

We are looking for someone who can add experience and a niche practice area to our team. Some things we are looking for :

• A Therapist training in trauma modalities
• A Therapist well versed in parent training and support to meet with parents 1:1
• A Therapist trained to work with 3-6 year olds
• A Therapist trained in attachment and play therapies
• A Therapist trained in neurodiversity
• A Therapist to run groups and summer programming
• A Therapist trained to treat OCD and related disorders (Tics, PANDAS, BFRBs)

This is NOT the position for you if you:

• Don’t like children or their caregivers
• Want to just “clock in and out” and do your own thing
• Like to do things the easiest/shortest way possible
• Need constant interaction and feedback from a supervisor
• Struggle to engage with clients
• Are not committed to growth and development
• Struggle to engage with and utilize peer support

• Want to open your own private practice

Job Description:

The outpatient therapist will provide excellent and effective mental health services to children, adolescents, and young adults as well as their families who are experiencing varying levels of difficulties due to life situations and/or mental health concerns. Therapist will need to be well organized, timely and able to juggle the multiple demands of an outpatient practice without daily supervision. This is a W2 position and a two year commitment is requested.

Education & Experience Requirements:

• A Master’s degree or above in a mental health-related field such as social work, marriage and family, mental health counseling, etc
• Active unrestricted Indiana licensed clinician in good standing. A copy of the license must be provided.
• Experience in a clinical setting such as community mental health, residential, outpatient therapy, or school based therapy.
• Specific training in evidence-based treatments

Major Areas of Responsibilities:

• Provide on-site excellent, effective, compassionate, and ethical psychotherapy services to the clients of Indy Child Therapist, LLC as scheduled in accordance with company policy.
  • Utilize evidenced based treatments as primary clinical tool
• Arrive a minimum of 10 minutes before your first scheduled appointment and start/end sessions in a timely manner.
• Complete all written documentation for client records within 2 calendar days after date of service (recommended to be completed daily).
  • This includes but is not limited to intakes, session notes, treatment plans, coding, and billing
• Engage with other team members, clients, parents, vendors, and outside referrals in a way that helps foster positive relationships.
• Respond to clients’ requests for service or calls within 24 hours whether such requests are made in person, by phone, voicemail, text, or by email.
• Maintain up-to-date and accurate calendars and client records within electronic health record (EHR).
• Maintain proper licensure and abide by all laws, rules, regulations, and codes of ethics that are binding or applicable to the services performed for Indy Child Therapist, LLC.
• Stay current with updated research and best practices and complete all required continuing education requirements for licensure.
• Be aware of community referral sources and refer when necessary or requested.
• Secure client information per HIPAA standards.
• Attend mandatory supervision, meetings, and/or trainings as directed by Indy Child Therapist, LLC.
• Conduct and regulate counseling services in a professional manner so as to maintain and increase the goodwill and reputation of Indy Child Therapist, LLC.
• Be respectful to, cooperate, and collaborate with all co-workers.
• Communicate with other health care and education professionals regularly and as requested or necessary for excellent clinical client care.
• When requested, charging and collecting payments from clients for services provided consistent with the policy and rate for such services as established by Indy Child Therapist, LLC.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Indy Child Therapist, LLC.
• Abiding by the Company Policy and Procedures Manual as updated by Company.

Hours:

• Schedule is flexible and set depending on office availability and desired schedule.
  • Generally, we are looking for someone who can work 10-12 hours per week. We also generally need therapists who can work after school and Saturdays. However, some speciality niches (such as parent training or young children) may allow for day time appointments.
  • The maximum session per week is 23 as 24+ is full time. You do NOT need to schedule this many. Just a reference point for the max.
