About Me
Hi, I'm Natalie! I'm a 4'10" strawberry blonde who some people say could pass for an elf or leprechaun, depending on how you look at it. I'm energetic, optimistic, hopeful, and passionate, though people have been describing me as "feisty" my whole life, which I take as a compliment. My friends would add bubbly, kind, and supportive to that list, and I love working with clients who have a good sense of humor and snappy one-liners, because we tend to get along great.
Outside of work, I love writing, drawing, gardening (and propagating my plants so I can have even more plants), frolicking in nature, and playing my Nintendo Switch, where I'm currently obsessed with Pokemon Pokopia. My 9-year-old shih-tzu, Gus, is the absolute light of my life and I love him an absurd amount. Oh, and diet coke is basically my coffee, so if you see me with a can, you'll know I'm ready to roll.

AGES SEEN
Teenagers are my favorite age group—the angstier, the better! The teen years can be an incredibly overwhelming time to be a human. Teens are expected to grow up and become more independent while regularly being reminded that they are still kids. They are trying to understand who they are while managing friendships, family relationships, school expectations, changing bodies, and intense emotions. I also enjoy working with younger children because of their authenticity and the vibrant way they experience the world. I especially like providing therapy for eating disorders and disordered eating.
I appreciate clients with a good sense of humor and a talent for snarky one-liners. I am not easily scared away by sarcasm, frustration, silence, or a teen’s general disdain for the existence of therapy.

PHILOSOPHY
I take a very eclectic approach to therapy, which means I meet you where you're at and tailor my work to what resonates with you. I resonate most with expressive arts therapies, DBT, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, because I love finding creative ways to help clients learn to navigate the world and regulate their emotions without letting the struggles of growing up dim their light. In providing therapy for eating disorders, I require working as part of a larger team to ensure adequate medical care is provided as well.
I believe parents are partners in the therapy process and play a crucial role in fostering positive mental health for their kids. Research shows that parent involvement in therapy leads to better outcomes, and I love research. My goal is to walk alongside you and your family to build understanding of your own mental health, teach you coping skills and emotion regulation strategies, and give you healthy communication tools you can use throughout your life.
